With the autumn equinox around the corner, we’ll use this seasonal turning point as creative fuel. What are you keeping? What are you shedding? What wants to emerge next?

Junk journaling is the lovechild of collage, sketchbooks, scrapbooks and the art of seeing treasure in trash. It’s a safe space for your psyche to play with color, texture, typography and graphics. Let memory, instinct and absurdity guide your hand.

Packaging, receipts, magazine images, tape, stickers, stamps, messy paint, your own drawings and personal ephemera are all fair game. It’s a playground for techniques and materials. Let your inner chaos curator leave you messages you never knew you were waiting for.

You’ll leave with your own journal and Scrappy stash to keep, build on and add to throughout the season.
